Penny lives with her husband, three kids and grandson in Kirkwood, MO.  She enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.  She has this to say about her book:

"My daughter Abby has an illness called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome.  Today she is 15 (going on 20!) and understands most everything that is going on with her medical care.  This was not always so.  When she was diagnosed at 9 years old, our family struggled to find a resource that Abby could use to understand the scary things that were going on.  So I vowed that one day I would create one.  And so I did.
It is a book written from the heart.  One purpose of this book is to facilitate conversation between adult and child. It also empowers the child during times in their lives that may be a challenge.  Now for the best part-PURCHASING THIS BOOK GIVES BACK.
A portion of the profits made from the book goes to the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association (www.cvsaonline.org).
